- Log into the Proxmox web UI
- Select a storage from the left navigation pane to download the .iso to
- Select ISO Images in the left sub-navigation pane
- Download the Manjaro iso Download and upload it to the Proxmox ISO image library
- Right click the Proxmox node name > Create VM
- Give the VM a unique ID and Name > Next
- On the OS tab, Select the Manjaro installation .iso file, leave the Type as Linux and the Version as 5.x - 2.6 Kernel > Next
- Leave the defaults on the System tab > Next
- On the Hard Disk tab, set the Disk size to 30 GiB or more > Next
- On the CPU tab, set Cores to 2 or more and Type to host > Next
- On the Memory tab, set the Memory to 4096 > Next
- Leave the defaults on the Network tab > Next
- Verify the summary and click Finish
- Right click the Manjaro VM in the left navigation pane > Start
- Click console in the left sub-navigation menu
- Press Enter to Start Manjaro (or wait 10 seconds)
- Click the Application button and search install > Click Install Manjaro Linux
- Select a language > Click Next
- Select a Region > Click Next
- Select a keyboard layout > Click Next
- Select Erase disk > Click Next
- Enter a name, computer name, username, password and root password > Click Next
- Choose an Office Suite to install > Click Next
- Verify the overview and click Install > Click Install now
- Wait while Manjaro copies files and installs
- When the installation completes, Check the Restart Now box and click Done, the VM will reboot
- Login with the username and password created earlier in the process
- Welcome to Manjaro Linux
Optional Steps
- Launch a terminal window
- Run the following commands
# initialize pacman keys
sudo pacman-key --init
# add arch linux pacman keys
sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux manjaro
# update software
sudo pacman -Syu
# install qemu guest agent
sudo pacman -Syu qemu-guest-agent
